I am unable to take any downloads, it will say that there is a new version of
the soft ware, but then I get this error 0x8007041D I also cannot do a
system restore on my Computer either

0x8007041D - 2147023843 - ERROR_SERVICE_REQUEST_TIMEOUT
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion

You receive a "0x8007041D" error when you visit the Windows Update Web site

If the above is not the case, try WU again later, sometimes the server is busy.
