- Windows XP User Access Accounts Limits IE Access
- Posted by Jim Q. on November 1st, 2003
Windows XP allows (2) types of accounts: Administrator &
Limited. If I set up a Limited account, this account
cannot log onto the Internet via Internet Explorer. How
can this prohibition be eliminated (short of changing the
account to Administrator)?

If you have software installed from your ISP, that software is governing
this action and I would assume it is only installed in the Administrator
account. If that is the case, temporarily change the limited account to
administrator, install the ISP software in that account then return the
account to its limited status.
