- XP won't startup under safe mode - black screen
- Posted by Ricardo on November 28th, 2007
I updated my garphics driver yesterday, but the system failed to recognise my
card and could not find a device driver for it. I rebooted and now have a
black screen on startup. The OS is loading but the graphics card/driver is
not being found.
I have tried booting in safe mode but it stops running when it gets to the
agp450 line and freezes. Safe mode does not have the VGA option available
either.
I have also tried swopping out the graphics card for a spare I have, but
this does not work either!
Any idea how I could get into system to reinstall the correct driver?

services related to the card/software,etc exit the screen, type
isable
enter the service name you recorded,it will stop it on restarting xp,type:
