- Change Location of Default.rdp
- Posted by Richard Benfield on April 24th, 2008
We have all users My Documents folders redirected to a network path...
nothing to extaordinary there. However, some of them have to use a vpn
connection on occasion that does not allow split tunneling... When they try
to remote desktop through that vpn, it can not locate the default.rdp file on
the network share. Problem is that it just hangs and becomes unresponsive for
like a minute and a half or so and can lead them to think something is wrong
with their computer, rebooting, support calls, etc... Is there a way to
change the location of the default.rdp from My Documents to somewhere else on
the local drive?
Thanks,
Richard

You should be able to save a custom .rdp file anywhere on your local disk
drive. Have you tried that?
