offline files disabled after reboot
Posted by RBosdet on September 30th, 2005

Hi

I have seen this problem listed on various user groups and support
forums, but I have not so far seen a solution posted.

I have a laptop running XP pro SP2 and a desktop running XP Home Sp2.

On the laptop I enable Offline Files and set the option to display the
icon on the desktop. I can make my desktop files available offline and
indeed they are available and work perfectly as advertised on the
laptop, including when I log off and on again.

However when I reboot the laptop and log on again I can see the offline
files desktop icon for a few seconds only, then it disappears from the
desktop, at which point offline files have been disabled again.

Any ideas please?

Richard
