- Unable to Connect to Remote Desktop Via USB Network Adaptor
- Posted by Bryan on May 7th, 2006
I have Actiontec® GT701-wg DSL/Router that has a USB Port and a Ethernet port
.. I am unable to connect the computer that is connected via the USB.
I have setup Port Forwarding to the IP address of the machine connected to
the USB . Remote Desktop is enabled on the machine and user are allowed to
connect Remotely. I also opened the Firewall port to allow Remote Desktop
connection. I can not connect up to the PC on just the LAN also.
I setup remote desktop on the computer connected to the Ethernet and could
connect to the machine with no issue . Is their a Local Security policy
that could be stoping connection? Or are you unable to Remote Desktop
connection though USB port ?
