I can connect to my work network with the vpn. However, I am not able to
access the folders on the network. Is there some setting causing this
problem? Would appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks for the response. After several hours of trial and error, I was able
to make it work. I set up a workgroup with the same name as my work server.
Then I changed the firewall settings for my work IP address to allow the
various data transfer.
